Emily Mieras
I teach History and American Studies at Stetson University, where I've been since 1998. I'm working on a project involving small-town identity, nostalgia, and historical memory. I also work on Progressive Era social reform, with a focus on gender, class, and student voluntarism. I'm chair of our History Department. I teach topics ranging from American Consumer Culture to Women's History to Modern America, 1890-1940.
